Stormy skies = the best sunsets (and even better when the sky is filled with paragliders!). It's been unusually cold in San Diego so I’ve actually had a chance to try out my down jacket from Moosejaw Mountaineering. I love it when a company adds a bit of personality to their brand, which is one of the reasons I like these guys -- plus they have great prices on their products!

Check out their great prices on outdoor gear and clothing! ---->

The Easiest Way for Americans to Visit Cuba • Ordinary Traveler

With regulations recently changing we’ve found it’s not only possible to visit Cuba, but it’s actually easy and affordable!

What is your dream destination?

Raise your hand if you do this too!

You were born to be real, not to be perfect.
This is becoming more and more apparent in my life. I love connecting with people when we’re not afraid to share our imperfections or allow ourselves to be vulnerable. We all have insecurities and things we struggle with so why pretend that we don’t?
Don’t be afraid of your imperfections, they are part of what makes you beautiful.

So happy to be in Cuba! With all the recent changes to regulations for Americans visiting Cuba, I’m stoked to be able to take part in one of Holland America Line’s cruises to this gorgeous country. I’ll be writing more about it on the blog soon!

The Best Photography Locations in Southern Iceland • Ordinary Traveler

Iceland provides an undeniable opportunity to capture some truly mind-boggling natural locations on camera. Here are the best photography locations in Southern Iceland!

I loved hearing the stories and history behind each place I visited in South Dakota Tourism this week. Bear Mountain (pictured here) is sacred to many American Indian tribes who still come here to hold religious ceremonies. It’s been a spiritual place for thousands of years and if you hike this mountain, you’ll find prayer flags and offerings scattered along the trail.

Nature is rad. 🙌

If you’ve been following on Instagram stories, then you already know that I’m traveling in South Dakota Tourism this week — exploring all the outdoor beauty in wintertime! The more I travel, the more I appreciate the seasons in each new place I visit. I woke up this morning to a fresh blanket of snow and couldn’t wait to get outside to explore. I love the silence after it snows; everything just feels so peaceful.

Weekend Wellness Escape at the Chopra Center in California

Our weekend at the Chopra Center was a great opportunity for us to recenter and refocus our attention. Practicing mindfulness over our weekend at the Chopra Center has carried through to our daily lives at home and I’ve found myself remembering to stay present in each moment — even the uncomfortable ones.

‘You are perfect. To think anything less is as pointless as a river thinking that it’s got too many curves or that it moves too slowly or that its rapids are too rapid. Says who? You’re on a journey with no defined beginning, middle or end. There are no wrong twists and turns. There is just being. This is why you’re here. To shy away from who you truly are would leave the world you-less. You are the only you there is and ever will be.’

T&C has been one of my dream destinations and I'm so excited to finally be here!!

What is your dream destination?

Um... how is everything so adorable in Turks and Caicos? #OceanClubResorts

Just arrived at Ocean Club Resorts in Turks and Caicos and my condo looks like my dream beach house. Those ceilings!! 😍

I'm on a mission these past several weeks to crush old, limiting beliefs by immersing myself in how I want to think and feel. I'm so tired of the yo yo of going back and forth between old fear-based thought patterns that I've been told to believe and the ones that I know deep down in my heart. This has been the ultimate struggle for most of my adult life -- realizing that everything is here to help me even during those times when it feels like life is beating the crap out of me. It's time for a paradigm shift and I am SO ready. ✌️

What about you? Do you feel like you've learned how to stay positive even through the tough times in life? I know it's easy to recite positive quotes but to really live it... that is a different story. I know many people struggle with this as well and I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the subject.
